Journalism
Journalism is an elective class
open to 7th and 8th graders. Students in the class produce a weekly
column, "In the Middle," for The
Advertiser-Gleam, Guntersville's hometown newspaper. The
purpose of this column is to share news, features, and announcements with
parents and the community. The column runs every Saturday.
Another project for the Journalism class is to create the school yearbook. Students are presently working on ideas for this year's theme and cover design.

The
2008 GMS Yearbook "Like No Other" won 1st place at the ACTE state technology
competition in Montgomery!
Kudos to LaTavia Banks, Emily Jordan, Sydney Livingston, and Rachel White
for their hard work in making this a great yearbook!
