"let me win, but if I can not win, let me be brave in the attempt."

Every year our county host the Special Olympics. This is an event where children and adults with mental and physical needs ages 8 and up from around the county come to compete in different events. These events include 10 meter wheel chair race, 50 meter run, shot-put, and softball throw.
We usually start off with an opening ceremony. The athletes start off by walking in, usually around a track. Then we listen to some rules and the games began.
Normally each athlete has two events they compete in. There are a multiple number of age groups and heats so everybody goes home with a ribbon. This is a really exciting and fun event for the athletes and the assistants.
