Lesson: Equivalent Fractions

Class work: Textbook p. 413 #1-5 & #11-15 Use fraction bars and draw to show the like fractions. Show cross multiplication to check. Multiply BOTH the numerator and denominator by the SAME number to get equivalent fractions.

Homework: R7-8 #1-4 & P7-8 #1-6

Tuesday: Check FB

Lesson: Simplifying Fractions SIMPLY DIVIDE the numerator and denominator by the GCF.

Class work: Textbook p. 417 #1-16

Homework: P7-10 1-15

Wednesday: Check FB

Lesson: Fractions on a Number Line

Class work: I do not like what the book has for work; I will make some practice sheets. I do not want to use mixed numbers yet.

Homework: I will make a sheet for Homework as well.
