Thursday Writing
Students will revise and edit their essays that they have written this week. Specifically, students will make revisions for: compound sentences, sentence variety (YCW notebook p. 17), avoiding tacky expressions (YCW notebook p. 18). After revising their essay, students will publish their papers. Collect all papers. (I plan to grade the introduction to these essays only.)
Friday Writing
Using the essays that the students wrote this week, the teacher will select a few papers to share with the class. Transparencies will be made of the papers and the class will discuss the good characteristics of each paper as well as how they could be improved.
