Tips for Parents

Reading is the most basic of the skills that children learn in school.  They must master reading so they can learn other subjects.  It can help them learn throughout their lives.

Reading can also be one of the cheapest and best forms of entertainment.

                                                                                        

You can help your child become a better reader.

  •  Set aside a daily reading time for the entire family.

  •  Visit the library weekly so that books and magazines are always available.

  •  In addition to doing homework, expect your child to do some reading that isn't assigned every day.

 

Reading is a skill that gets better with practice.  Make sure that it becomes an important part of your family's daily routine.
