| I hope
that while your child is at Guntersville Elementary School that I have a
chance to get to know you personally. It is such an honor to work
in a school district that is such a part of me. I grew up in
Guntersville. I attended Guntersville Elementary at the Old Rock
School. It was the wonderful experiences that I had there, at
Cherokee, the Middle School, and Guntersville High School that made me
know I wanted to be a teacher. After graduating from The
University of Alabama in 1988, I began teaching in Guntersville City
Schools. In 2005, I became the principal of Guntersville
Elementary. This is my twentieth year and what a great time I've
had! On a personal note, I am married to Scott Patton. We have three children, Jack in 5th grade and twins, Mamie and Joe Scott in kindergarten. Having children in our school system, I take my job very seriously. Providing an outstanding education for the students at Guntersville Elementary is my goal. Our school sets the tone for grades to come.
