Algebra 1

 Mission

The mission of this class is to build a mathematical foundation for each student to be successful in his/her school and future career of choice.

Syllabus

The Algebra 1 course will follow the Alabama State Course of Study.

At least two tests per chapter will be given. Homework will be assigned DAILY!! Testing days for math are Tuesday and Thursday. Pop quizzes can and will be given at any time during the school week.

1^st Semester

Algebra Basics – 1 week

Properties of #’s – 1 week

Linear Equations – 4 weeks

Linear Equations and Functions – 5 weeks

Graphing Linear Equations and

 Inequalities – 7 weeks

2^nd Semester

Systems of Equations – 2 weeks

Exponents  and Functions – 2 weeks

Quadratic Equations – 3 weeks
