2.      Experiment with magnets.  Note: magnets have a north and south pole.  Opposite poles attract.  Like poles repel.

2.      Discuss physical changes such as folding paper, folding clothes, tearing paper, cutting paper, cutting fruit, melting ice, freezing ice, cutting wood…… anything that changes the size, shape, state, or position without changing identity is a physical change. Perform some physical changes

1.       Scrolling Science

2.      Discuss chemical changes. Chemical changes create new substances. Evidences of chemical changes are:

·        Color changes…Statute of Liberty and ripening fruit

·        Formation of a gas/bubbles…mix baking soda and lemon juice

·        Giving off heat or light/change in temperature… mix Alka-seltzer and water and measure the temperature using  a thermometer and laser

·        Formation of a solid…baking a cake and a rusting nail
